Scope of Work

The clients approached with us with a desire to create open and bright living spaces within their 1975 home, where they would be able to entertain large gatherings of family and friends. This entailed removing an interior wall that separated the kitchen and dining room from the main living room. We used thoughtful detailing in millwork and stonework to create aesthetic cohesion between the kitchen and dining room areas. We also relocated the laundry room, removed cumbersome bulkheads, and enlarged doors and windows to allow for views of the lush North Shore landscape to permeate the space from all sightlines.

We knocked down a structural wall to open up the dining room to the remainder of the house. The posts that support the overhead beam act as a colonnade that add to the character of the home.
The dining buffet made of custom stone and millwork, cohesive with the kitchen, acts to integrate both rooms while adding functional and aesthetic storage space.
